NY, NY - Hello, my name is Tom Hickman and I’m a 73 year old retired Engineer. I’m writing to you about Dr. Fred Rouse and the “kick butt” retirement planning program he’s been pushing on the internet for over six years now.  

IT WAS TIME FOR SOMEBODY TO SPEAK UP …

Hey, listen. I don’t have a problem with someone making a buck selling things to me and others that want faster financial independence and the option to enjoy retirement sooner. Who doesn’t want that?  … IF the product lives up to its’ claims. But honestly, if you’ve read any of Rouse’s ads or gone to his website, he promises some pretty outrageous, almost unbelievable things. 

For example, he claims that with his Cash-Machine System:  

• You never have to invest a dollar in the Stock Market
• You’ll have the option to retire in just 3-5 years  
• You don’t need any investment experience  
• You can do it in less than 20 minutes a day  
• You’ll never need to worry about money again  
• You’ll be able to get triple-digit returns  
• And on and on and on 

Yeah, right.  

I WAS GOING TO NAIL THIS GUY TO THE WALL

His ad said to go to his site to watch a “Free” short video that would give me more details about his system. You need to enter your name and email address to see the video. This looks like the typical marketing hype to get your personal information. But I wanted to see this nonsense so I had all the facts to expose this guy and all the garbage he’s been spewing. 

So, I put in my name and email address and got to see the “free” short video.

It started with the same over-the-wall ridiculous marketing claims that were in his ads.

Quite frankly, it sounded like a bunch of B.S. and hype.

When I got into the video, I have to admit that I was impressed and pleasantly surprised by the information in it. He actually did make sense.

But I figured he was just trying to suck me in, trying to act and sound reasonable. I “knew” that couldn’t possibly last for long. I kept watching. Yes, he wrote a few books with some big-name people. And yes, it seemed like he was actually quoted in some major print publications and was on more than several national TV and cable channels.

However, I just knew I couldn’t trust this guy. The financial planners seem to hate him. Even the CFP Board barred him from using the CFP credential. To be fair, they did that even though he hadn’t provided any specific financial advice to any clients or provided any financial services for over 15 years. In fact, it was after he was a CFP for 28 years and after he had already retired the credential.

So why go after someone AFTER they already stopped providing financial advice or services and after that had already retired? It looked the the “establishment” just trying to step on the little guy since he says he runs this small program in his retirement.

Now I think the guy is a scammer, but I want to be fair. As I went through the video some more I started to see why the financial planners and the CFP board didn’t like this guy.

He was talking about trading commodities. I’ve been told for years whenever I mentioned that word that it was the riskiest thing ever since Adam took a bite of the apple from Eve. And the returns he was claiming far exceeded what the “financial planners” could do. IF they were real.

But I continued watching. He had some pretty impressive testimonials from students who got great results from using his system. But since I had never heard of any of these people, I didn’t know if they were even real. (Of course, even though I’ve been around for a while I don’t know everyone on the planet and they probably don’t know me either!

 As I watched more. I was even more intrigued but still thought this guy was full of shit though so … 

I DECIDED TO INVESTIGATE THIS FURTHER

I had to complete an application and then schedule a call. I’ve seen these before too. You get on a call and it starts nice and then turns into an obnoxious pressure cooker as they surprise you with the price then try to twist your arm and get your credit card out of your wallet.

But NO. The application clearly stated the price ahead of time and said I couldn’t buy anything online or on the call.

It had to be part of the scam just to get me on a call with his boiler room full of call center flunkies that would beat me up to get my credit card number.

But NO. I got my call and it was Dr. Rouse himself on the line. He didn’t staff it out. That was interesting and unexpected. 

And then something else happened that floored me. Within the first 2 minutes of the call, he asked if I understood that I couldn’t buy anything on the call.

I’m no spring chicken. I’ve been through dozens of “sales” calls before. That’s NEVER what they say!

We went through the call, he asked about me and my situation. I figured he was just setting me up. He explained the program, how it worked, how long it took, why it worked, and how he could show his students how to get those results.

He answered the questions I had written down before the call, before I even asked them.

The entire thing seemed pleasant and informative. I just knew the ax was about to fall on me any second. That’s what these scammers do.

He then explained the 2 guarantees that come with the program. Almost word for word as to what was in his initial video. I was getting ready now. The ax had to fall soon and his true colors would be revealed.

He asked that I write down a website and look at it AFTER our call! What the hell was he up to?

He explained the order process and then told me if he saw my order come in, he would personally process it, if not he wished me the best of luck in my search and said bye!!!

 I DIDN’T BELIEVE THIS. I KNEW THERE HAD TO BE A CATCH…

I had to find out what it was.

I went to the link he gave me. I was just like he said it was. It detailed what was in the program. It mentioned, but didn’t push his VIP program and then it listed the 2 guarantees, word for word from what was in the video and what he discussed on the call.

I’M NOT CONVINCED YET…

But, could this guy really be legit?

I don’t think so. This is all part of an elaborate scam. He’s pushing his program. It all sounds good on the front end and then it’s just one more of those scams that doesn’t deliver a result.

I had to know.

A few hours after my call with him I kept reviewing the link he provided. Nothing changed. It remained just as he described.

Since there were 2 guarantees, I thought I should run this out and see what a disaster it was from the inside.

I completed the order form. Just like he said a few hours later I got my “Welcome” email with my login.   I went through the program looking for the holes and the giant scam. I didn’t find either.

HERE ARE THE “RESULTS” I GOT FROM USING HIS SYSTEM

Before I put his system into action, I quite honestly thought I’d be asking for my money back.

Well, that was over three and half years ago. I can tell you that using his program I basically TRIPLED MY INCOME! That’s NOT a typo. I couldn’t believe it either, but it’s the truth.

There’s an alumni group of other students that have gone through his program. Some of these active traders and they seemed more than willing to help the new students.

His course lived up to his promises and then some! Based on everything I’ve been told for years, I didn’t think that money like this was possible. However,  It really worked! 

Getting and using Dr. Rouse’s program was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. In fact, I’ve told him he should be charging at least five times more for it than what he does. The information is that valuable and has shown students how to get the same results since 2010. In the world of snake-oil salesmen, scams, and frauds, yes there is an honest guy that produces real results for his students.
